How can I request late check-out?
Late check-out is based on availability. Please reach out to our front desk, and they will let you know if it is possible for a complimentary check-out until 12:00PM Noon ET. Unrequested late check-out is between 12:00PM Noon ET and 4:00PM ET and will be subject to an additional 50% of room rate. Departures after 4:00 PM will be subject to an additional full night’s stay.
Can I request early check-in?
Early check-in is based on availability and is in no way guaranteed. Patterns for our departing guests vary daily. With this in mind, in the event your room type is available and fully serviced by our housekeeping department, the hotel will provide an early check-in when possible.
Will I be charged for an early departure?
If your booking is prepaid, nonrefundable – the full stay will still be charged. All other reservations will be charged full amount including taxes and fees. Certain exceptions may apply.

Is the hotel pet friendly?
“Bring Fido”
Paramount Hotel is a pet-friendly hotel near Times Square. We allow pets up to 25 pounds, for a nonrefundable fee of $125 per stay for each pet. When you are traveling with a pet, we suggest that you bring a leash, a collar with an ID tag giving the hotel’s address, a few toys and treats, fresh drinking water and food, portable bowls, a pet carrier, a pet bed or travel crate, any medications, and waste bags. All guests with Pets will be issued a “Paw Pass” to confirm their pet is registered. A $250 cleaning fee is applicable for any accidents by your furry friend.
Does the hotel provide any WiFi services?
Yes, WiFi is included in the daily Facilities Fee.
What is minimum age required to check in?
Minimum age required to check in is 18 with valid government issued ID.
What is the hotel’s cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies may vary from 72-hours prior to check-in on the date of arrival to fully non-refundable. Please check your reservation confirmation to verify the cancellation policy of your reservation. If you booked your reservation directly with the hotel, you may contact the Reservations Department to verify the cancellation policy. If you booked your reservation via a third party (e.g. Expedia, travel agent, housing bureau, etc.), we ask that you reach out to the third party directly to confirm the cancellation policy.
Can I smoke in the hotel?
Please refrain from smoking as this is a smoke-free New York hotel. If you smoke in your room, a $350 smoking fee will be applied. Noise and smoke complaints are taken very seriously. Excessive noise and all smoke complaints will be addressed by our Security Department. If you experience any type of noise or smoke issue during your stay, please dial “0” for immediate assistance.
What happens if I damage the guest room?
You will be responsible for the FULL replacement cost of any item damaged in the guest room. Charges will be posted to your folio.

The hotel charges a facilities fee of $35.00 USD plus tax, per room, per night, in addition to the room rate. The fee provides the following services:

Which is the closest subway station to the hotel?
49th Street Station is the closest station to the hotel, and it is located at 47th Street and Broadway. It provides access to the N/R/W trains. However, the hotel’s Times Square location means many stations are within walking distance. Access to the 1/2/3, B/D/F/M, A/C/E, S, and 7 subway lines are nearby as well.
What will it cost to hire a cab or town car from the airport to Paramount? Uber and Lfyt Service response times are usually just a few minutes

The hotel does not have a courtesy shuttle, but the concierge will be able to help with all your travel needs.

Paramount Café is located on the lobby-level offering continental breakfast items in the morning; prepared sandwiches, salads, snacks, etc. all-day. Bar service is available in the evening.

Whom should we contact if we are group of people wanting to book several rooms, is there a discount?
Group reservations: 10 rooms or more arriving together is considered a group. In such cases there is a mandatory porterage fee (baggage handling fee) that is applicable. For group reservations please contact Group Sales by email: sales@paramount-nyc.com

Does Paramount accept traveler’s checks as payment?
We DO NOT accept traveler’s checks. However, the hotel accepts the following as payment methods: cashier’s check and certified bank checks. These will only be accepted upon arrival and you will still be required to guarantee your booking with a valid credit card.
Please note that you may pre-pay with a personal or company check, as long as it is received at least 21 business days prior to arrival. For checks being sent from overseas, please give at least 45 days.
Does the hotel require any kind of deposit prior to checking in?
Yes, in addition to securing an authorization for room, facility fee and applicable taxes, we require a nightly incidental deposit of $50.00 that will be released back to your card after departure
For stays longer than 7 days the hotel system will obtain the CREDIT/DEBIT authorization on the entire stay.
How long until CREDIT/DEBIT authorizations are released?
While most credit cards issued by US based banks take 5-7 business days, it can also depend on the issuing bank’s policies. INTERNATIONAL debit and credit cards may take up to 30 days or more depending on the bank. To know exactly how long an authorization hold will remain on your account, you may call the customer service number on the back of your card and a representative will be able to explain their process.
Can we prepay for our reservation and what is the procedure?
We require the guest registering into the hotel to provide us with a government issued photo ID along with a valid credit or debit card at the time of check-in. If someone who will not be present at the hotel would like to pay for your reservation, they may contact us at reservations@paramount-nyc.com to request a credit card authorization form.
To ensure the safety of your credit card information and to remain compliant with PCI regulations, emails containing completed forms will NOT be accepted.

Does the hotel have a fitness center, pool, or spa?
Fitness Center: Open 24/7. Our fitness studio keeps guests energized in the city that never sleeps with top-of-the line treadmills and elliptical machines, as well as free weights, and recumbent bicycles.
Pool: Unfortunately, we do not have a pool.
Is there an ATM on site?
Yes, located in the Paramount Cafe.
What parking options do you have for guests?
At this time, parking options for hotel guests are to-be-determined due to the pandemic. We expect to have this information confirmed by October. Once we do, we will update the section.
Does the hotel provide child cribs?
Yes, free of charge. Availability is limited
What if we have an unexpected guest; do you provide roll away beds?
We DO NOT provide roll away beds.
Do all rooms have a refrigerator?
Our guest rooms DO NOT have refrigerators, but they are available by request for $25.00 per stay – subject to availability at the time of arrival.
What bathroom products are provided in your rooms?
We provide hairdryers and the following PURE products in all our rooms: shampoo, lotion, bath soap, face soap, and shower caps.
Can we get our clothes laundered or dry cleaned during our stay?
Yes. Please note that guests who require same day delivery must be called in before 9:00 AM. Any requests after 9:00 AM will be delivered the next day. The laundry facility is not managed by the hotel and is contracted to an outside company off property.
Does the hotel have a gift shop?
Our hotel gift shop is located in the lobby and is open 7AM – 11PM, 7 days per week. A one-stop-shop for everyday essentials.
Do the guest floors have ice machines?
An ice machine is located on the 4th Floor along with an unlimited supply of hot and cold unfiltered water.

Does Paramount handle packages for guests? Is there a charge by the hotel to handle packages?
Paramount will accept packages for all arriving and in-house guests. Packages should not be sent to the hotel until 3 days prior to the guest arrival. Packages without a matching name to the reservation will be held for 7 days before being sent back to sender. All packages should be addressed to the name of the lead guest registered on the reservation, followed by the complete address of the hotel. Please make sure you have the tracking number of your package in order to collect your package. If checking out, collect your package well in advance. Please note we do not hold regular mail.
Package prices vary from $5.00 - $10.00 per item depending on size.

Does the hotel have a baggage holding area? Is there a fee?
Yes, we do have a luggage holding area. As per our policy, guests are allowed to store luggage during the dates of their stay only. The hotel cannot hold onto luggage prior to arrival or post departure date after 10:00 PM. In addition, the hotel does NOT offer overnight storage.

Does the hotel pay travel agency commissions?
Travel Agents are paid a 10% commission of actualized room charges as long as a valid IATA number is entered at the time the reservation is made. Taxes, fees, and upgrades are not eligible for commission. IATA numbers may not be added to existing reservations.
We are a non-profit agency or are tax exempt, how do we get our taxes exempted?
TAX EXEMPTION: All guests who are tax exempt will need to bring their own New York City and New York state tax exemption forms to the hotel fully signed. These forms may also be faxed directly to the Front Office at 212-827-4227 with the confirmation number and name of the guest.
In addition to providing the tax exemption documents, the tax exempt organization must pay for the stay in order for it to be tax exempt. This can either be prepaid with the organization’s credit card (credit card authorization form) or a check can be sent from the organization at least 10 days prior to check-in.
If the stay is not prepaid, and guest claims tax exemption at check-in, they need to present the tax exemption documents and the exempt organization’s credit card that belongs to the guest on arrival.
If the guest paid on their own without a tax exempt form or pre-payment on arrival, then the guests have a 90 day window after check-out to present proof of tax exemption and payment from the organization (credit card authorization form). Once we receive it and the payment is applied, we will refund the guest’s charge in full.
